Book Review

The topic of politics is complicated.  The 2000 election for the President of the United States of America is no exception.  It is still being discussed as I write this review.  Observing the political system as candidates perform the ritual of persuasion, was an every day occurrence.  So when I get a chance to review a timely book, about an election, where the hook to the story line is persuasion, I am excited.  My imagination was at attention as the political mystery unveiled.  There is an unconscious level to the political decision-making process.   The strong characters are movie images on the pages as you read the imaginative novel.  The one character I will never forget is an exciting soft on the outside, mentally unbalanced hit-woman, Sabrina.  She only has a small part in the story, but she steals the scenes.  I would like to see which actress is selected for the part.  The depth of characters are all equally strong movie material.  Read this book, before Hollywood turns the script into a big screen blockbuster.  You will not have to stand on line, for the answers to the questions you will have from the developing story. At the conclusion you to will shout "God Bless America."   Philosophers have stated politics is corrupt, and there is extensive evidence in the past that proves the statement true, but in the year 2000 how does a politician persuade his constituents to vote for him?

Book Review Paragon Program

My review is simple & short.  If you enjoy reading a fictional novel that is more truth than fiction you must read the Paragon Program.  If fiction is the best teller of truth you must read the Paragon Program.

Paragon Program copywrite  Chapter 1  The Party        Page 1

The limousine made a turn around the tight corner by the shops at Pier 66 mariner.   He could hear the music coming from the dock through the half open window.  The song was a hot Latin salsa beat that seemed to dance across the water.  The voice of the singer harmonized to the rhythms of the drums, and brass section.

A crew member put the gang way back to the yacht so Philip could board.  Writing another chapter for the new book had almost made him miss the fun.  The party was just what he needed, to be with people.  "Their expecting you on board.  Mrs. Whitterker said to meet her in the saloon.  She knows you like baseball, and they prepared a surprise for you.  Carlos and Pedro brought gloves and a ball sir.  You are catching.  Oh, I gave away the surprise.  Good Luck, sir."

Aboard Summer Time's saloon,  Today's conversation responded reflected my friends concern.  She said, free up Mondays calendar for court, for a dramatic closing argument by a outstanding constitutional lawyer.  I will give you some background on the way.  Don't forget the party tonight.  We are departing exactly at 8 PM.

Summer was wearing a full length green dress, with a plunging neckline.  She turned and lifted her Champaign to her lips, revealing her bare body.  There was  just a curve of material that swept across the very low back line of the garment.  Her secret tattoo was exposed.  The tattoo looked like a compass peaking out of the lowest point of her cocktail dress.   I walked in the direction of north on her compass, and put my hand on her waist.   "You are beautiful.  You are exciting.  You are the loveliest woman I have seen all day.  I say only all day because, I know how I inflate your ego gets."

She did not turn around, she simply spoke. "Who the hell are you?  Then she relaxed her body, "Oh, don't stop, inflate away.  You can squeeze my waist not just hold it.   Continue with your compliments."

She looked into Philips eyes; "Champagne handsome, I am buying tonight."

"Know you are inflating my ego.  Where is Stephen?  I want to say hello.  People will get the wrong idea, you are to flirting is too playful."

"Let them, your mine know.  At least for tonight."

"Summer you are embarrassing me."

She laughed, she giggled, then she smiled.   "You are just to fabulous, don't you know I flew in from Seattle, just to wish you a happy birthday, and finally met you.  My sister is Summer."

"What will you think of next.  Oh there is Carlos, I understand I'm catching tonight."

"Baby blues, you just caught.  Don't plan on leaving the yacht till tomorrow morning.   There is only one cabin, and we reserved it for you.  I should say Summer and I reserved the cabin for you.  Let me formally introduce myself, my name is Sherry, my friends call me Coco.  I still don't know why, the name stuck with me, since I was a child.  Do I look like a Coco or a Sherry?"

"I'm just astonished, you never told me you had a sister."

"You still don't believe meCome on will settle your confusion.  Summer he is hear. You were right, I'm in love."

My mind was doing double takes, I could not tell the difference between themSummer and her twin sister Sherry looked at one another smiling at their surprise.  For a moment Summer appeared to be looking at her reflected image.  Oh there was a noticeable difference.   Still looking at red and Green dresses I said, "Summer you have a red dress on.    She put her arms around me, "happy birthday Philip.   Then she whispered in my ear. "Hold on baby, my little sis is going to love you to death.  Blame this evening on me, I want you to be happy.   You can't have me, but I did my next best thing.  I want you to be part of our family,  I love you Philip, I love you that much."
