pursuing and writing knowledge. The scriptorium stonewall had one window. There was two rather large candles. One lit the page he scribed to. The other lit the text he was copying. His quill wrote all the knowledge known to western civilization. His life was an existence
of collecting his thoughts. His passion for the written word was part of his soul. He lived in a peaceful land we know today as Ireland. The Monks name was Column Kill. One sunny morning he received the unthinkable
news. The barbarians had conquered all of the land we call Europe. All the knowledge that had been collected through the ages had been burned as kindling that destroyed every book ever written. You must understand the barbarians could not read books. They
had no education. There was no need for knowledge the books offered them. They needed kindling to start fires. In short they were ignorant. A teardrop fell to the word civilization destroying the page he was scribing. Column prayed.

The civilization of multi languages was his audience. Kings would leave castles to find the Monk wearing holy shoes . Noblemen would set up camps to give comfort to the Irishman
with a flare. He recited the knowledge of great civilizations of the past. The entire western world became his audience. Weary and older but wiser he returned to his scriptorium . He scribed many more books, while recruiting and teaching one hundred men. The
Monks wore Column's symbol, his rope tied waist book and followed the quest path walked before them. Europe once more was blessed with western civilization's knowledge. This simple true story illustrates how one man, an Irishman saved Western Civilization in the 6th century.
