Search   When The Light Goes On   Chapter 2

To search for romance when you work for a firm with offices around North America and Europe is exciting.  You have passionate American beauty or the exotic flavor of International beauty to select from. Cosmopolitan business environment of New York, London and Paris presents a stage to work hard and play hard.  To my amazement the statement “You cannot find love, love finds you;” takes on another dimension in the twenty first century. The search for love is an impossible quest.  The continental delights were appetizers and the platters were endless. 

You are attracted to the physical.  The women of Paris have elevated the attraction with fashion.  They come in all shapes and fashions.  I am not talking about their dresses either.  Their clothes are designed to shock, to stimulate the mind, to capture a wild Bull with reds, yellows, and brunets.   The Frenchman understands they are macho. They believe there is the ultimate Bullfighter within them.  But in France the matadors are the women.  Men come from ever angle as the ladies sway their capes and let them pass, acknowledging with a sexy whisper.  They tantalize their Bulls, with designed programs of intrigue.  “If you are lucky enough to pierce me with your horns, be prepared for the inevitable experience.  I believe they mean bridal gown.  The Bulls have smoke coming from their horns, they believe in passionate exotic hours of endless sex.  I believe the ladies of Paris are whispering “desire me.”

There are always two sides to the coin.  Once in a while a courageous Matador walks proudly.  He struts like a peacock adorn with his sex appeal costume.  He studies the ladies.  His pants are cut with just enough flare.  His jacket forms perfectly to his body.  His tie is selected for a power statement.  He has become an artist among the Bulls of Paris.  Instead of charging at her cape, he insists she turn for a 360-degree viewing around his stationary body.  If he has truly perfected his craft, she doesn’t even know she has circled him for a complete selection process of visual dynamics.  

When an overpowering statement of perfection is made, Parisians watch closely to learn their craft.  I believe they would buy tickets to the Bull of El Magnifico’s extravagant performance.  It is exciting to watch the spring mating game take place.  To explore romance.  As I said, “love starts with the physical viewing, the scent the body secrets for the spring and the desire nature has given us to mate. 

If she is or he is successful, the reward is the physical embrace.  This is the definition of love, but not complete love.  To be complete we must add emotion as part of our passion.  The difficulty with emotion is it is impossible to make a rational decision when you are emotional.  Without your emotion there is no success for love.  All you will have is an encounter.  Preferably it is elevated to an affair with romantic memories.  You are in love when you have blended your emotions with the your physical desire.  However there is the mental.  Where you can rational decide.  The mental stimulates the mating game.  You learn from one another.  You draw from each other’s experiences.  Know you are in Love.  You have found what very few possess; the rarest love.

From a Bull and a matador we have seen Paris.  However there is one other element that is part of the modern day equation.  I believe we are seeing the mental take a new form; perhaps it was always there. Where are souls are one.  A soul to soul love affair that can last an eternity.

To relax Sunday's  hormone distraction was a reorganization challenge my firm presented me.  Before departing for Paris I successfully completed the extensive plan, budgets and schedules.  What did I do before laptops, Power Point, and spreadsheet programs?
